I am a 1997 graduate of Sussex Central High School in Georgetown. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2001 with a sociology degree. In 2004, I graduated from Wilmington University with my Master’s in Special Education. In the spring of 2012, I graduated from University of Massachusetts, Lowell with my certificate in Behavioral Intervention and am working to become a Board Certified Behavior Analysis.
Before coming to Rehoboth Elementary, I worked for the Sussex Consortium program for 11 years and had the honor of being Teacher of the Year in 2010. This is my 4th year at Rehoboth Elementary School, my first as the second grade special education teacher.
I am a huge advocate for children and adults with special needs. My brother, 40, has Down Syndrome with autistic tendencies. With this background, I am able to bring a personal connection to the classroom.
